Lucas Paquetá was sent off in the closing stages of West Ham's 2-0 defeat by Liverpool after receiving two yellow cards in the space of a minute for dissent towards referee Darren England. Former West Ham goalkeeper Rob Green called the actions "completely irresponsible". Manager Nuno Espírito Santo said he would speak to Paquetá to understand his frustrations. Paquetá posted on social media accusing the Football Association of providing no psychological support during a two-year period that affected his life and career. Paquetá was cleared of spot-fixing charges earlier in the year but was warned after failing to cooperate with the investigation.
