Flood watch issued for Bay Area until Friday night due to significant rainfall
"Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Low water crossings may become flooded. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas, the NWS said. You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop."

Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible across the Bay Area during the watch period from 10 a.m. Tuesday until 10 p.m. Friday, Dec. 26. Excessive runoff may flood rivers, creeks, streams, low water crossings, and other low-lying or flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks and poor drainage or urban areas may flood. Residents in flood-prone areas should monitor forecasts and be prepared to take action if Flood Warnings are issued.
