Inquisitive, relaxed' humpback whale swimming in Sydney Harbour delays ferries and boats
Briefly

A humpback whale, wandering from its usual migratory route, entered the centre of Sydney Harbour, causing navigational challenges for ferries and vessels. The sub-adult whale, spotted near Fort Denison, swam through several locations, including Circular Quay and Balmoral Bay. Experts from NSW Maritime monitored the whale's movements, attaching bright orange buoys to alert other vessels. While occasionally whales do leave the typical migratory highway, this whale's prolonged exploration is unusual, posing unique challenges for maritime safety.
