Job Vacancy: Senior Infrastructure Engineer (f/m/d) // alcemy | IT / Software Development Jobs | Berlin Startup Jobs
"We are changing this! We leverage machine learning to provide smart production control software to the cement and concrete supply chain to improve efficiency and allow for the production of low-carbon cement and concrete at large scale. Our software is used 24/7 in cement and concrete plants to optimize production and reduce carbon emissions today. We are currently enabling our customers to save more than 100 000 tons of CO2 emissions each year and we aim to save 100 million tons per year in 2030."
"Build, deploy and ship infrastructure for cloud-native software solutions together with our product teams. Work closely with other engineers to ensure our AWS-based infrastructure, kubernetes platform, and development processes are top notch. Support application developers and ML specialists in their daily work with questions around tooling, deployment, CI/CD, and many others. Develop internal solutions and tooling - using Python or Go - to automate and optimize our setup."
Alcemy applies machine learning and cloud-native control software to lower the CO2 footprint of cement and concrete production, aiming for large-scale low-carbon manufacture. Concrete accounts for roughly 8% of global CO2 emissions, and current deployments save customers over 100,000 tons of CO2 annually with a 2030 objective of 100 million tons per year. The role involves building, deploying, and maintaining AWS-based infrastructure and Kubernetes clusters, supporting application developers and ML specialists, automating tooling in Python or Go, improving cost and simplicity, and designing secure, reliable, and monitored environments while mentoring the engineering team.
