Just 111 companies have cost the world $28 TRILLION in climate damage
Briefly

A new study from Dartmouth College has determined that just 111 firms have contributed $28 trillion in climate-related damages since the 1990s, blaming fossil fuel companies for the escalating climate crisis. Topping the list is Saudi Aramco, followed closely by Gazprom and Chevron. The research links particulate emissions to specific damages, underpinned by advancements in climate attribution science, reinforcing that without the actions of these companies, the current climate catastrophe might not exist and emphasizing accountability in the climate crisis.
"We argue that the scientific case for climate liability is closed," said study author Justin Mankin, climate researcher at Dartmouth College.
The damage as a result of this global warming - in the form of wildfires, crop damage and extreme weather events like floods and storms - has a huge financial cost.
