Mass. snow totals by town: See who got the most from fast-moving overnight system
"Weather One Cape Ann city got the worst of it, again. After suffering through two feet of snow just a few weeks ago, Tuesday night's quick-moving system seemed almost quaint. But a few cities and towns did get a fair amount to add to their winter totals, according to the National Weather Service."
"And the jackpot winner from that monster January storm - Gloucester, with 27 inches - was tops Tuesday night as well, having added six inches to the top of that pile as of 7:30 a.m. Wednesday morning."
"Most other towns were in the 1- to 3-inch range, according to NWS. You can see the snow totals for all the towns reporting below."
A quick-moving storm on Feb. 10–11 produced additional snowfall across parts of Massachusetts. Cape Ann again experienced the heaviest impacts, with Gloucester adding six inches to a prior 27-inch January total by 7:30 a.m. Wednesday. Several other cities and towns recorded measurable snow, generally in the 1–3 inch range. The event followed a larger January storm that left about two feet of snow in some locations. The National Weather Service compiled and reported the town-by-town snow totals for the Feb. 10–11 system.
