Met Eireann issues Status Yellow rain warning as temperatures to drop to -2C tonight
"Today will start off cloudy with widespread outbreaks of rain and drizzle before a brief reprieve of drier conditions and some sunshine spreads from the west across the country this evening. It will feel cold today, though, with highest daytime temperatures of just 5C to 9C. Any lingering rain or drizzle in Ulster will mostly clear during the first half of the night, leaving mainly dry and cold conditions with clear spells, allowing some patches of frost and ice to form."
"Tomorrow will start off cloudy with wet and windy conditions moving northwards over the country. The rain will be heavy at times. A clearance to dry conditions with sunny spells will follow before showers or further spells of rain push in from the south. There will be highest temperatures of 5C to 9C, with fresh to strong and gusty easterly winds easing with the clearance of the rain. Tuesday night won't be as cold with lows of around 2C."
Low pressure will continue to dominate this weekend, producing further showers and more persistent spells of rain. Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow warning for two counties for heavy rain and strong, gusty east to southeast winds from 2am until 8am on Tuesday. Today begins cloudy with widespread rain and drizzle before a brief drier interlude and some western sunshine; highest temperatures 5C to 9C. Any lingering rain in Ulster clears early night, leaving mainly dry, cold conditions with clear spells and pockets of frost, ice, mist and fog. Cloud builds from the southwest with wet, windy conditions expected by morning. Tomorrow is initially wet and windy with heavy rain moving north, followed by a clearance to showery conditions and easing easterly winds.
