Holland America has appointed Beth Bodensteiner as president, who emphasizes consistency with the brandâs history while refining local experiences on cruises. In an interview, she highlighted initiatives like sailaway celebrations specific to itineraries and a Global Fresh Fish program offering locally-caught seafood. Bodensteiner indicated that specific adjustments for regions like the Caribbean will cater to guest preferences for more relaxing experiences, suggesting upcoming changes that will honor both local cultures and traveler desires. Overall, Bodensteiner's vision aims to ensure Holland America remains relevant to its clientele while staying true to its roots.
"This supports our local ports, which is tremendously important to me, as well as to our folks in food and beverage," Bodenheimer told The Points Guy.
"There's some changes coming to the way we deliver the Caribbean that are totally different than what we've done in other regions," she said.
