TDs and Senators were presented with details of the review on Wednesday evening, after many had demanded answers to the processes around picking the former Dublin GAA boss as a candidate, and what vetting process was involved."
"The review will be chaired by senior counsel, Ciaran O Loughlin. The review will also include TDs Tom Brabazon and Eamon Scanlon and Senator Margaret Murphy O'Mahony. It will consider the steps taken during the identification and selection process, the basis for identification and selection of a candidate, and the Presidential election campaign up to and including Sunday 5th October. The review is due to report back with recommendations by November 12th."
