This investment aims to advance their technology to protect Europe’s critical infrastructure amidst rising geopolitical tensions. With a reported turnover of €4.5M last year, the company focuses on two key sectors: defence and energy. Their sensors can detect issues in the aging transformer network and potential underwater sabotage attempts, a timely need given recent incidents in the Baltic Sea. Currently, Optics11 employs around 70 people and operates out of Amsterdam-Zuidoost.
