Jordi Alba has signed a contract extension with Inter Miami, committing to the club until the end of the 2027 MLS season. The 36-year-old left back expressed his happiness in continuing to compete, citing the affection he receives from fans and his comfort at the club over the past two years. Alba's significant contributions include six goals and 20 assists in 49 appearances, helping the team win the 2024 Supporters' Shield and reach the semifinals of the Concacaf Champions Cup.
I'm happy to renew my contract because I have the desire to continue competing, and because of how I feel at the club, with the affection I receive from fans.
We have that desire to continue competing, to continue winning, and, hopefully, win as many titles as possible.
Alba signed for Miami in July, 2023, joining former Barcelona teammates Sergio Busquets and Lionel Messi in the MLS.
He has since gone on to record six goals and 20 assists in 49 appearances to inspire the club to the 2024 Supporters' Shield.
