Report - Key factors behind Barcelona's salary limit increasing by 81 million | Barca Universal
"The improvement is the result of several factors. Among them is the renewal of the sponsorship agreement with Spotify until 2034, a deal signed last October that includes shirt sponsorship rights until 2030 and the stadium naming rights until 2034. The return to the Spotify Camp Nou has also been decisive, as it will significantly boost revenues and help the club meet a budget that now rises to €1.075 billion."
"The return to the stadium has also enabled La Liga to account for the €100 million linked to the 475 VIP seats that Barcelona licensed to Fortia Advisor Limited and New Era Visionary Group, companies based in Qatar and the United Arab Emirates for 30 years. That operation, finalised in December 2024, allowed the registration of Dani Olmo and Pau Victor."
"The auditor has now accepted the full value of the operation, as has La Liga, because the 475 seats are in place and being marketed following the return to the stadium. The remaining payment is assumed to be forthcoming and, in any case, if it were not to materialise, the auditor understands that another investor could cover the outstanding amount without difficulty."
Barcelona's salary limit rose from €351.2 million to €432.8 million following La Liga's winter transfer window update. The increase stems from multiple revenue sources: the extended Spotify sponsorship agreement through 2034 including shirt and stadium naming rights, the return to the Spotify Camp Nou stadium, and a €100 million VIP seat licensing operation with Qatari and UAE-based companies for 30 years. This €100 million deal, finalized in December 2024, was divided between two investors and enabled Barcelona to register players Dani Olmo and Pau Victor. The auditor and La Liga have accepted the full operation value as the 475 seats are operational and marketed. Barcelona's total budget now reaches €1.075 billion, moving the club closer to the 1:1 Financial Fair Play rule.
