A five-alarm fire in Red Hook destroyed artist studios and small businesses the previous month. All proceeds from the fashion show were designated for the Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition to support recovery efforts. Graffiti Fashion paid homage to Notorious B.I.G.
