"Clearly that didn't happen,"
"and we rode the waves of the pandemic until we could bring the festival back in 2023."

The 2026 Portland Jewish Film Festival runs from February 24 through March 1, 2026. The program prioritizes films that show multiple perspectives of complex situations. Programming has become more delicate following the October 7, 2023 attacks. The Institute for Judaic Studies dissolved in early 2020 and transferred the festival to the Oregon Jewish Museum and Center for Holocaust Education. A planned June 2020 collaborative edition was canceled and the festival paused during the pandemic until a modest return in 2023 at PSU's Lincoln Hall, followed by an expanded multi-venue program including Whitsell Auditorium and PAM CUT's Tomorrow Theater.
