"Prior to "Toy Story 5," Pixar has plans to release "Hoppers" in March 2026, a science-fiction comedy about human minds "hopping" into animal bodies, starring a beaver on a quest to save its habitat from a construction company. The return to the "Toy Story" intellectual property comes after a tumultuous few years for Pixar, during which it saw lackluster performances from films like "Lightyear" and "Elio," as well as a major round of layoffs, contrasted with the slow-burning box office success of "Elemental" and the smash hit "Inside Out 2," which earned an estimated $1.6 billion worldwide."
Toy Story 5 will be released in summer 2026 and introduces Lilypad, a bright green tablet-shaped frog that arrives in Bonnie Anderson's room.
