The Superman team had a lot of questions about Krypto's dog cape
Briefly

The Superman film from Warner Bros. and DC Studios emphasizes the bond between Superman and his pet, Krypto, who's making his debut. Visual effects supervisor Stephane Ceretti shared insights into the creative process, highlighting James Gunn's rescue dog Ozu as inspiration. A challenge arose in adapting Krypto's cape for a dog, involving adjustments in design to ensure it mimicked the iconic style seen on Superman. The team worked diligently to maintain consistency while considering the differences in motion and gravity on a canine versus a human.
We really harnessed the look of the cape from the costume of Superman, the type of fabric that Judianna used. We worked with them to figure out how to translate the cape from a human body to a dog.
But we still tried to kind of really work on our simulation and how to control it to keep that same feel of the kind of folds and quality of the cape that we have on the back of David.
