Stunt performer Joe Dryden shares insights from working on the films 'Thunderbolts*' and 'Sinners.' He describes how the former posed heightened pressure due to its scale and his motorcycle scene with Bucky, while 'Sinners' challenged him in a different way as he portrayed a bad guy. Dryden expresses appreciation for director Ryan Coogler's supportive nature, remarking on the collaborative effort within the Marvel universe, and notes a distinctive energy present during the production of 'Sinners,' attributing its success to that unique vibe.
In my particular role, 'Thunderbolts*,' there was just a little more pressure there from a performance standpoint, especially during Bucky's motorcycle scene.
'Thunderbolts*' was more of an, 'Okay, now I'm in the middle of the desert and everybody's looking at me and we've sold this gag that has to work.'
Marvel is like a whole different universe, with so many moving parts and people involved, each having an important role in making the final product work.
Sometimes you're on set and you can just feel that there's a little bit of a different energy, there's a little bit of a sauce happening.
