'Weapons' is a horror film set in a small Pennsylvania town where 17 children mysteriously vanish at 2:17 am, leaving the community in fear. Justine, an elementary school teacher, discovers that all the missing children were her students, except for Alex. Archer, a parent of one of the children, believes Justine holds the key to their disappearance and investigates using doorbell camera footage. As the plot unfolds through vignettes, eerie connections emerge between the missing children and the town's adults, leading to increasingly bizarre and violent confrontations.
In Zach Cregger's latest horror movie 'Weapons,' the writer-director delivers another twisted tale that's as jaw-droppingly bloody as his 2022 sleeper hit 'Barbarian.' The film takes place in a sleepy Pennsylvania town where, one night, 17 children all suddenly rise from their beds at 2:17 am, go out their front doors, and run away into the night. No one has seen them since.
With the town on edge, elementary school teacher Justine realizes something all the kids who vanished have in common: they were all in her class. Only one child, Alex, didn't disappear.
Archer, one parent whose child has vanished, demands answers and believes Justine has them. He studies Ring doorbell camera footage from the houses of the kids who ran off, attempting to triangulate a path they might have taken.
As Archer confronts Justine at a gas station, Andrew, the principal at Justine's school, appears covered in blood and attacks her. Archer fights him off, leading to a chase that unravels more connections between the adults and the missing children.
