If You Can Identify 13/15 Of These Foods From A Pixelated Photo, Your Vision Is In The Top 5%
"I'm a certified foodie, which means that 99% of the time, I'm thinking about my next meal or snack. That also means I'm an expert at identifying a food from vague clues - like, if there's pizza in the next room, you best believe I can smell it, and I'm doing whatever I can to get my hands on it. And another part of being a foodie is in the ability to identify foods from an unclear visual...so that's what we're doing today."
"And another part of being a foodie is in the ability to identify foods from an unclear visual...so that's what we're doing today. Here's how this works: I've compiled some photos of food items and pixelated them, so you can really only see a few coloured squares that represent each item. You'll have to guess what food it is from that photo. Ready? Get your glasses on...you'll need 'em."
A certified foodie spends most of the time thinking about the next meal or snack and claims expertise at identifying food from vague cues. The foodie can detect pizza in another room by smell and will actively try to obtain it. The foodie also practices identifying foods from unclear visuals and has prepared a visual guessing activity. Photos of food items have been pixelated so only a few coloured squares remain visible for each item. Participants must guess the food depicted in each pixelated photo and are encouraged to use glasses for clarity.
