Rick's Rather Rich Ice Cream in Palo Alto was founded in 1956 and is known for handmade flavors such as Computer Chip, Choco Cherry, Cookies & Dough, Black Raspberry Crunch, Mexican Chocolate and Blue Moon. The Khosla family sold the business and recipes to Pints of Joy, a Sunnyvale and Fremont creamery co-founded in 2020 by Ketki Dandekar and Arshiya Shaikh. Pints of Joy will retain all current employees and preserve Rick's popular offerings while adding their craft standards and signature, all-natural flavors including Alphonso Mango and Malai Kulfi.
