Sam Wo, a century-old Chinatown restaurant in San Francisco, will reopen Friday under local restaurateurs Ming Duong and Norris Song after closing in late January. Duong and Song signed a two-year lease with the possibility of extension if business performs well. Zhouxi Quan will serve as head chef after training with former chef-owner David Ho to preserve signature dishes like barbecue pork rice noodle rolls. Most of the menu will remain intact, with additions such as har gow and siu mai. The search for new owners began when Ho announced retirement after 42 years, and investors worked to save the business.
