Sun Nong Dan Brings Flame-Torched Galbi-Jjim to Sawtelle Japantown
Sun Nong Dan opened a new Sawtelle location offering the same menu as other branches, including galbi tang, seolleongtang, mandu, and galbi-jjim. The galbi-jjim can be topped with cheese and torched tableside. The Sawtelle restaurant will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, serving post-bar and early-morning crowds. The neighborhood's Korean options include Tofu Ya and Seoul Tofu. Multiple Los Angeles bakeries and restaurants are accepting Thanksgiving pie pre-orders, including vegan options. Open Market, Tommy and Atticus, Bakers Bench, Jyan Isaac Bread, and Valerie Confections are among vendors with specific pie offerings and preorder instructions.
"Famed Koreatown galbi-jjim spot Sun Nong Dan just expanded west with a new location in Sawtelle. The menu's the same as in its other locations: find soups like galbi tang and seolleongtang; mandu; and, of course, the famed galbi-jjim, available topped with cheese and torched tableside. Like Sun Nong Dan's Western Avenue restaurant, the Sawtelle store will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to cater to the post-bar or early morning crowds."
"Bakers Bench - Vegan bakery Bakers Bench is offering apple, pumpkin, and pecan pies for Thanksgiving this year, plus maple whipped cream. Pre-order through Bakers Bench. Jyan Isaac Bread - Westside bakery Jyan Isaac Bread has an apple and sage crumble pie, cranberry meringue pie, and pumpkin and persimmon custard pie for Thanksgiving. Pre-order through Tock. Valerie Confections - Pre-orders are now open for Valerie Confections' slate of pies, including apple and salted caramel, pumpkin basque cheesecake, and salted maple chess pie. Pre-order through Valerie Confections."
