At least four tourists reported dead following devastating cable car crash in Italy
Briefly

A tragic cable car accident in Italy claimed at least four lives, with the incident occurring at Monte Faito, near Naples. The cable car's supporting line failed while it was close to the edge of a precipice, causing the cabin to crash to the ground. All victims were tourists, and one individual suffered severe injuries. Fog, wind, and rain complicated rescue operations, although 16 individuals were rescued from another halted cable car. Officials noted issues with the emergency brake on the cabin involved in the accident, raising concerns about safety.
The cabin at the top has crashed," Umberto De Gregorio, chairman of the EAV public transport company which runs the cable car service was reported as saying.
The emergency brake downstream worked but clearly not the one on the cabin that was about to reach the top of the hill," the mayor of Castellammare di Stabia told Italian media.
