"Their budget rivals Ryanair have recently announced the ending of some routes to smaller French airports, blaming the 'eco tax', which France raised to €7.40 per ticket in the last budget. Ryanair has cancelled its winter flights from Bergerac and Brive airports in the south-west of France and Strasbourg in the east; although it is not yet clear whether those routes will return in the summer."
easyJet launched its 2026 schedule with 16 new routes across ten countries, adding services from eight UK airports. Three new UK–France routes are London Stansted–Paris Charles de Gaulle (twice-weekly, Mondays and Fridays from 5 March 2026), Manchester–Montpellier (twice-weekly, Mondays and Fridays from 30 March 2026) and Birmingham–Nice (twice-weekly, Mondays and Fridays from 1 May 2026).
