French roads will be busier than usual this weekend as Toussaint school holidays end and families return home. Bison Futé placed the entire country on orange alert for Friday for both departures and returns, warning of difficult traffic conditions. Departures are advised to leave or pass through the Paris region before 1pm or after 8pm and to avoid specific motorway stretches at listed times. Return drivers should arrive in or pass through Paris before 1pm or after 7pm and avoid designated A1, A2, A7, A25, A63 and eastern Lyon bypass sections during peak hours. Saturday traffic is expected to be mostly normal.
