European leaders, hosted by Emmanuel Macron, convene in Paris and online with Ukraine's Volodymyr Zelenskyy to negotiate security guarantees for Ukraine in the event of a peace deal with Russia. Macron stated that military planners have prepared a guarantees plan and Europe is ready to provide and politically endorse the measures at the meeting. Leaders begin talks at 9am BST/10am CEST and will hold a call with US president Donald Trump at 1pm BST/2pm CEST, with outcomes to be announced shortly thereafter. Trump mentioned considering a face-to-face meeting between Zelenskyy and Vladimir Putin but stopped short of specific commitments.
