Annacurra secured €69,400 in funding through the Community Climate Action Fund. Funding supports projects applied for with Annacurra GAA and LGFA to benefit climate action and biodiversity in the village. A new community biodiversity garden will be created beside Hazel Hill for community enjoyment. The Annacurra Community Centre will receive upgrades including new external windows, doors, and insulation to improve comfort and energy efficiency. Support and guidance were provided by Climate Action Officers with Wicklow County Council, along with assistance from the County Engineer’s team and continued support from a local councillor. The funding is welcomed during National Biodiversity Week, with plans to deliver the projects for the whole community.
