Google launched the Pixel 10 series, new earbuds, and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, with preorders starting immediately. Preordering the Pixel 10 Pro Fold includes a free $300 Amazon gift card; the Pixel 10 Pro preorder includes a $200 gift card, and the base Pixel 10 preorder includes a $100 gift card. The Pixel 10 lineup adds Qi2 wireless charging, a dock mode that passively displays time, weather, photos, and smart home controls on the PixelSnap charging mount, slimmer front bezels, and improved battery life. ZDNET's Kerry Wan favored the Pixel Pro XL for its larger 6.8-inch screen and AI features. Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL release August 28, and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold releases October 9. The preorder promotion received a 3/5 rating because the phones carry no direct price discount and offer only Amazon gift card incentives.
New features in the Google Pixel 10 series include Qi2 wireless charging, a new dock mode feature that allows the phones to passively display the time, weather, photos, and even smart home controls when mounted on the new PixelSnap charging mount, slimmer front screen bezels, and better battery life. ZDNET managing editor Kerry Wan went hands-on with all four of the Google Pixel 10 models and was most impressed by the Pixel Pro XL.
Also: I went hands-on with every Google Pixel 10 model - and was surprised by the one I loved most "I found the Pro XL model's larger 6.8-inch screen more optimal for Google's various new AI features, whether it's for displaying Magic Cues in messages and phone calls, or photo tips when Camera Coach is turned on, cementing it as the phone I'll likely upgrade to this summer," he wrote.
