Belkin is ending support for nearly all its Wemo smart home devices
Briefly

Belkin is discontinuing support for almost its entire line of Wemo smart home devices starting January 31, 2026. After this date, features that depend on cloud connectivity will be disabled, and technical support will cease. However, four models based on the Thread protocol will remain operational through Apple HomeKit if configured prior to the deadline. Belkin plans to offer partial refunds for Wemo devices still under warranty when support terminates, with payments beginning only after that date. This decision follows Belkin's previous withdrawal from supporting the Matter smart home standard.
Belkin has announced the end of support for almost all Wemo smart home devices from January 31st, 2026, except those configured through Apple HomeKit.
From next February, any features that rely on cloud connectivity, including remote access and voice assistant integrations, will no longer function for Wemo devices.
Only four Wemo products based on the Thread protocol will continue to work through HomeKit, provided they are configured before the support end date.
Belkin indicated that customers with Wemo products still under warranty when support ends may qualify for a partial refund, but processing starts post-support.
