Google Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL announced with Tensor G5, new telephoto lens and bigger batteries
"Pixel 10 Pro is equipped with a 6.3-inch LTPO OLED display, while Pixel 10 Pro XL gets a 6.8-inch diagonal. Pixel 10 Pro gets a 1,280 x 2,856px resolution while the 10 Pro XL comes with a 1,344 x 2,992px resolution. Both panels also offer a 1-120Hz refresh rate. The maximum local screen brightness is 3,300 nits, and you also get Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. You also get a 42MP selfie cam and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner embedded in the screen."
"The more important new addition is the Tensor G5 chipset. It's the first Google chipset fabbed by TSMC (instead of Samsung), and it claims to bring improved efficiency that should finally see Pixels on an even playing field with the Snapdragon flagship Android crowd. Tensor G5 features an updated CPU, which is 34% faster than the Tensor G4, while AI tasks should run 60% faster."
The Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL maintain the same visual design and arrive in Moonstone, Obsidian, Porcelain, and Jade. Pixel 10 Pro features a 6.3-inch LTPO OLED (1,280 x 2,856) while the XL offers a 6.8-inch LTPO OLED (1,344 x 2,992), both 1–120Hz, up to 3,300 nits peak, Gorilla Glass Victus 2, a 42MP selfie camera, and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner. The phones use the new Tensor G5 chipset fabricated by TSMC, delivering a 34% faster CPU and 60% faster AI tasks, running Gemini Nano and paired with Titan M2 security, with 16GB RAM standard. Camera updates include a new 48MP telephoto with 5x optical and up to 100x hybrid zoom alongside the 50MP main and 48MP ultrawide sensors, and video recording up to 8K/30fps. Battery capacities are 4,870 mAh with 30W charging for the Pro and 5,200 mAh with 45W charging for the XL.
