"New" Intel chip turns out to be five-year-old model
Briefly

Intel introduced the Core 5 120 and Core 5 120F processors, which are refreshed versions of the 2022 Core i5-12400. Both models feature six performance cores, support twelve threads, and a slight clock speed increase of 100 MHz, reaching up to 4.5 GHz. Other specifications, including cache sizes, remain the same. These Alder Lake processors are now priced nearly twice as high as their predecessors. Their naming may confuse consumers expecting new technology, as it does not align with the latest Core Ultra or Raptor Lake series.
The Core 5 120 and the 120F, which does not contain an integrated GPU, run on six performance cores with support for twelve threads.
The clock speed has been increased by only 100 MHz to a maximum of 4.5 GHz, with specifications such as the presence of 7.5 MB L2 cache and 18 MB L3 cache remaining virtually identical.
The models are significantly more expensive than their predecessors, with current prices being almost twice that of the original i5-12400 and 12400F.
The new product names do not match the recent Core Ultra 200S series or the fourteenth generation of Raptor Lake processors, making distinctions less clear.
