OnePlus Nord 6 is coming soon, global certifications reveal
"The OnePlus Nord 5 was released in July, so you wouldn't necessarily expect its successor to show up anytime soon, but you might be wrong in making that assumption. That's because the Nord 6 has already been certified for sale by SIRIM in Malaysia, the GCF, and TDRA in the UAE. These certifications are a normal step in the development process, but usually occur within a few weeks, or a couple or so months, before a phone is actually unveiled."
"That makes us think the Nord 6 might arrive earlier in the year than its predecessor. Unfortunately, no specs for the Nord 6 have been leaked so far. It is, however, intriguing that OnePlus is launching a new line of smartphones in China in a few days, called Turbo, and it's starting with the Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V. We're not sure what happened to the first five, and we're wondering whether we should assume that the Nord 6 will be based on one of these."
OnePlus released the Nord 5 in July. The Nord 6 has received certifications from SIRIM (Malaysia), the GCF, and the UAE's TDRA. Such certifications typically occur weeks or a few months before a device is unveiled, suggesting an earlier launch than the Nord 5. No specifications for the Nord 6 have leaked. OnePlus will launch a new Turbo smartphone line in China including Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V. The Nord 6 carries model number CPH2795 registered with TDRA. The relationship between the Turbo models and the Nord 6 is unclear.
