"Here comes the Realme GT8, riding on the coattails of the GT8 Pro. The pair made their official debut in China today, and while the vanilla is similar in looks and on paper, there are some subtle differences. For starters, the camera island isn't customizable, so you'd better pick the one you like up front. The GT8 ships in white, green, and blue, just like the Pro. The green has a micro-texture finish, while the other two are matte."
"The Realme GT8 packs a technically inferior camera system. The main camera is the same 50MP 1/1.56-inch sensor with a 22mm f/1.8 lens, and it's still tuned by photography nobility Ricoh. You get Ricoh's color science with different shooting modes like Hi-contrast B&W, Monotone, and Standard. But the other cameras are different. The zoom is a 50MP unit (not 200MP) and has a longer-reaching 80mm f/2.8 lens."
Realme GT8 launched in China alongside the GT8 Pro with similar looks but several differences. The camera island is non-customizable and the phone comes in white, green, and blue finishes, the green having a micro-texture. The GT8 uses Qualcomm's 2024 Snapdragon 8 Elite and a 7,000mAh battery with 100W wired charging, reaching full charge in about 45 minutes without wireless charging. The 6.79-inch 1440p AMOLED supports 144Hz LTPO and up to 2,000 nits sustained (4,000 nits peak). The Ricoh-tuned main camera is a 50MP 1/1.56-inch sensor with a 22mm f/1.8 lens and Ricoh color modes. Secondary cameras differ: a 50MP 80mm f/2.8 zoom (not 200MP) and 8MP and 16MP ultrawide units. The phone runs Android 16-based Realme UI 7.0 and goes on sale in China.
