vivo launched the Vision Explorer Edition mixed reality headset in China as its first MR headset. The headset weighs 398g, measures 83mm tall and 40mm thick, and has a mirror-finish front visor with multiple cameras and sensors for tracking. Users can switch between four foam-padded light-blocking shields and choose either a comfort strap or a stability strap. The headset uses dual 8K Micro-OLED binocular displays with 3840 x 3552 pixels per eye and 94 percent DCI‑P3 coverage, plus diopter support via magnetic lenses. It supports a claimed 180-degree view, spatial audio, hand-gesture and eye-tracking input, 13ms full-color passthrough, spatial video playback, MR/PCVR gaming, Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2, OriginOS Vision, and vivo's Blue Ocean power management. Demo units will be available at 12 vivo experience zones in China starting August 22; pricing and wider availability remain undisclosed.
