Vince Zampella died at age 55 and Electronic Arts announced his death without disclosing a cause. He founded Respawn Entertainment in 2010 and formerly served as chief executive of Infinity Ward, the studio behind Call of Duty. Call of Duty debuted in 2003 as a World War II simulation and the franchise has sold over 500 million copies globally, with later entries exploring modern warfare and a live-action film in production. Zampella led the creation of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
