"The first big barrier to this potential move revolves around the Heat getting to a point where they'd want to trade Wiggins. At least for now, Miami doesn't appear to have any interest in making such a move. You'd imagine that the only way the Heat get to that point is if they begin to season off on the wrong foot, and that it gets away quickly from them."
"Of course, the Heat trading Wiggins back to the Warriors wouldn't be that simple, and there would be several hurdles that would need to be cleared in order for a potential deal to get done. But considering that Wiggins knows the system and the fact that Golden State could be one splash move away from jumping right back into the championship picture, it would seem like a perfect match."
"Because of salary cap implications, any deal for Wiggins would likely have to include Moses Moody and Buddy Hield. Whether they'd be shipped to Miami or a third team, they'd likely have to be involved, especially considering the Warriors are unlikely to trade any of their big-name, big-salary players. Even then, there's also no guarantee the Warriors would want to trade either of those players. And that's where this possibility becomes that much more difficult to envision."
The Golden State Warriors represent the most logical landing spot for Andrew Wiggins if the Miami Heat become willing to trade him. Multiple obstacles exist: Miami currently shows no interest in trading Wiggins, and would likely only pursue a move after a poor start. Any Warriors offer would face salary-cap constraints likely requiring inclusion of Moses Moody and Buddy Hield, or involvement of a third team. The Warriors are reluctant to move large-salary core players, and they may not want to trade those specific pieces. Wiggins' familiarity with Golden State's system and the team's championship proximity increase mutual appeal if logistical hurdles can be solved.
