Freelancer creatives could be losing over $1,000 a year because of tech frustrations
Briefly

Freelancing offers freedom in choosing projects and hours, yet it comes with challenges such as administrative tasks and equipment costs. A report from Frontegg surveyed 503 freelancers, revealing that login issues led to significant losses—averaging $1,018 annually—due to account access problems. Many freelancers expressed dissatisfaction with their login experiences, with a notable percentage feeling locked out of vital accounts. The survey emphasizes the need for streamlined and secure login processes, showcasing how login frustrations contribute to time and income losses among the freelancing community.
Freelancers and gig workers want login processes that are simple, secure and hassle-free, the survey found. Nearly a third said a seamless login experience would make them more loyal to a platform.
With the freelance economy expanding fast, poor login UX is becoming a quiet labor crisis, draining time, income, and trust, Frontegg says.
