Neck creams often do not provide additional benefits compared to regular facial products. Skin on the neck ages in the same way as facial skin and requires the same treatments. Products containing retinoids and vitamin C can be effective in promoting collagen production on both the face and neck. Sunscreen is crucial in any anti-aging routine, and many neglect it after the chin. Moisturisers can prepare sensitive neck skin for stronger actives, but there's little justification for expensive neck-specific creams.
Skin doesn't become different when it passes the jawline, it responds in the same way to TLC as the face, so I can see few good reasons for spending extra money.
No fancy product under the anti-ageing umbrella is worth a damn if you're not applying sunscreen in sufficient quantities.
The things we know can help produce collagen lost on the face and neck as we age, are retinoids and, to a lesser degree, antioxidants like vitamin C.
If your neck is more sensitive, you could soften the blow by first applying a thin layer of bland moisturiser underneath these punchier actives.
