Report Highlights Generational Benefits for CUNY Program
Briefly

The Accelerate, Complete, Engage (ACE) program at City University of New York has yielded substantial economic benefits for students ten years post-launch. Research indicates ACE students have an 11.7 percentage point higher five-year graduation rate compared to eligible non-participants. Each ACE participant generates approximately $48,000 in net social benefits, primarily from increased earnings. Furthermore, benefits extend to participants' children, projected to exceed $130,000 due to various socio-economic advantages. Even if non-participants eventually graduate, ACE students maintain a $16,000 advantage through earlier entry into the workforce.
Ace students' five-year graduation rate was 11.7 percentage points higher than the rate of students who were eligible for, but not enrolled in, the program.
The estimated net benefits accruing to ACE participants' children will be triple that number, the researchers said, at over $130,000 per participant; that number represents the children's eventual salaries, as well as their reduced use of public services.
