More than 300 students graduated from St. John’s School of Law on May 17 during a centennial commencement ceremony at St. John’s University in Queens. Graduates walked through the Carnesecca Arena to applause from faculty, alumni, family, and friends. Dean Jelani Jefferson Exum congratulated the Class of 2026 and said the shared identity of becoming St. John’s lawyers unites graduates with something special. He referenced the first graduates from Sept. 28, 1925, who overcame barriers and built successful careers and public service. James Herschlein, president of the St. John’s Law Alumni Association Board of Directors, welcomed the graduates with a message about caring for others and serving the greater good.
