Coverage spans events and figures such as the Johnstown Flood, the Brooklyn Bridge, the Panama Canal, John Adams, Theodore Roosevelt, and Harry Truman. Television hosting and documentary narration are highlighted as ways to bring historical understanding to broad audiences. Recurring themes include curiosity, attentive listening, continuity of character across a lifetime, and devotion to primary values like courage and respect.
