Hackers Threaten to Submit Artists' Data to AI Models If Art Site Doesn't Pay Up - DataBreaches.Net
Briefly

Artists&Clients, a platform connecting independent artists with clients, was breached around August 30 by the ransomware group LunaLock. The attackers claimed to have stolen and encrypted all site data and demanded a $50,000 ransom for deletion and decryption access. The group threatened to publicly release source code and users' personal data on a Tor site if the ransom was not paid. The attackers added a new coercion by saying they would submit all stolen artwork to AI companies to be added to training datasets. The site went down after screenshots showed the ransom message, prompting user concern.
If you are a user of this website, you are urged to contact the owners and insist that they pay our ransom. If this ransom is not paid, we will release all data publicly on this Tor site, including source code and personal data of users. Additionally, we will submit all artwork to AI companies to be added to training datasets.
LunaLock promised to delete the stolen data and allow users to decrypt their files if the site's owner paid a $50,000 ransom.
