Locked Shields 2026, the largest live-fire cyber defense exercise, involved over 4,000 participants from 41 nations. Organized by NATO CCDCOE in Estonia, it simulated real-time cyberattacks on critical infrastructure. Teams protected air defense and e-voting platforms while managing disinformation. Participants showcased strong detection and response skills, with an emphasis on translating lessons into real-world readiness amid evolving AI threats. Sixteen multinational teams competed, with top teams from France, Sweden, Latvia, Singapore, Germany, Austria, Luxembourg, and Switzerland. The exercise aimed to enhance international collaboration and cyberspace resilience.
