Neon Cyber was founded to shift cybersecurity focus from protecting infrastructure to securing the workforce. The company emerged from stealth on September 16 after raising seed funding from Silverton Partners in April 2025. Cloud computing, remote work, and AI have eroded the network perimeter and accelerated attacks, rendering traditional infrastructure-focused defenses less effective. The workforce is frequently targeted via phishing and social engineering, and AI amplifies those threats. Neon deploys a browser extension that interposes in the browser to block threats and provide visibility without adding friction. The extension is installable across managed devices in about five minutes and is impervious to user avoidance.
