""Twitter is one of the world's most recognized brands, and it belongs to X Corp.""

""legally abandoned the TWITTER mark.""
X Corporation filed a 43-page lawsuit in federal court in Delaware suing Operation Bluebird for trademark infringement over the TWITTER mark. X Corp contends the Twitter brand remains exclusively owned and that a rebrand to X did not abandon trademark rights. Operation Bluebird's leaders, including Michael Peroff and Stephen Coates, say they expected litigation and maintain X legally abandoned the TWITTER mark and that a cancellation petition follows trademark law. One legal expert, Josh Gerben, described proving abandonment as a very difficult challenge, likening it to climbing Mount Everest. No immediate comment was provided by X Corp or Elon Musk.
