Clipse is set to release their first album in 15 years, Let God Sort Em Out, on July 11 via Roc Nation. Initially, the album was to be released through Def Jam, but conflicts arose due to a guest verse from Kendrick Lamar. Def Jam, concerned about the optics of featuring two rivals of Drake amid an ongoing lawsuit with him, pushed for censorship which Pusha T refused. Ultimately, Def Jam dropped Clipse, allowing them to partner with Roc Nation. Pusha T expressed optimism about this new collaboration, emphasizing its significance in rap.
