"Just fastballs only. I think his next pen, he's going to introduce some breaking balls, but it was really good. Arm speed and hand speed were really good, better than I thought. So came in the following day, which was yesterday, and felt good. No residual soreness."
"I wouldn't say progress. I wouldn't say a setback. I just think that, you know, right now from what I've heard, that we don't feel in a position to kind of ramp him up. So he's just playing catch, and I don't think we're going to see him on the mound for a little bit longer again."
The Los Angeles Dodgers are managing injuries to three bullpen pitchers during spring training. Brock Stewart, acquired at the 2025 trade deadline, is recovering from right shoulder surgery and has shown promising progress in bullpen sessions with good arm and hand speed. Brusdar Graterol, sidelined all of 2025 with a shoulder issue, is being ramped up slowly and is not yet throwing off the mound, though this is not considered a setback. Bobby Miller has also not thrown off the mound due to shoulder and arm soreness, with the team hoping to increase his workload in the coming weeks. Manager Dave Roberts expressed cautious optimism about their recoveries.
