The hottest new reality TV drama is a live stream of migrating Arctic moose - and millions are tuning in from all over the world
Briefly

The Great Moose Migration, a beloved livestream from Sweden, has returned early this year due to unseasonably warm weather prompting the moose's trek. This unique show offers 24/7 coverage of moose traversing rivers and forests through over 30 cameras, creating a hypnotic experience for viewers. Last year, nearly 9 million people tuned in, showcasing a growing audience who appreciates this calming, slow-paced nature broadcast. Media scholars highlight how its non-dramatic content draws viewers in, contrasting contemporary fast-paced media culture.
"There are a lot of moose about," producer Stefan Edlund told Swedish public broadcaster SVT. "They're waiting for us. We've had to adjust. But it should be OK."
"Sleep? Forget it. I don't sleep," she declared in an interview with Swedish outlet SVT, per the Guardian.
"I feel relaxed, but at the same time I'm like, 'Oh, there's a moose. Oh, what if there's a moose? I can't go to the toilet!" he told reporters.
"It becomes, in a strange way, gripping, because nothing catastrophic is happening, nothing spectacular is happening," said Annette Hill, a professor of media and communications.
