Luka Doncic says he has a great bond with JJ Redick
Briefly

Luka Dončić made a significant impact after being traded to the Lakers, leading the team to a 50-win season and securing a playoff spot. His integration into the team was aided by Coach JJ Redick, who had a prior friendship with Luka. Dončić expressed high praise for Redick's coaching abilities during his exit interview, highlighting their mutual respect and desire to maximize his performance. Their established bond has been pivotal in forming a strong player-coach dynamic essential for the future success of the Lakers.
I think he's a hell of a coach. Not many coaches do the stuff he did in his first year, his rookie year. I feel sometimes like I'm back in Europe a little bit, so I love it. We have a great bond, so it's been nothing but amazing with him as a coach.
I think that bond that was already there gave us a great starting point as player-coach. He wants to be coached, he wants to be held accountable. I'm trying to bring out the best version of Luka.
