Marlee Matlin, the youngest Best Actress Oscar winner and only hearing-impaired Academy Award recipient at age 21 for "Children of a Lesser God," has purchased a gated, country English-style home in Hollywood Hills for just under $1 million. The early 1950s home features three bedrooms, maid's quarters, and a media room across approximately 2,500 square feet. Matlin redecorated the interior with a lighter, brighter country aesthetic. She relocated from a West Hollywood duplex where she maintained offices for her production company, Solo One Productions, now based in Burbank. Matlin continues her acting work, currently in production for the second season of NBC's "Reasonable Doubts" and appearing in the upcoming film "Danger Sign."
